  • Data Control & Deletion: You have complete control over your content and can permanently delete your account, saved votes, and submitted questions directly within the app.

Would You Rather ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. 2. Information We Collect

In accordance with our App Store Privacy Manifest and data minimization principles, we only collect data necessary to provide game functionality:

  • Account Information (Optional): When you register or sign in using Sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple User ID, and optionally your name and email address (or Apple Private Relay email). Account creation is not required for standard gameplay.
  • Gameplay & Voting Data: Anonymous vote selections (Option A vs. Option B), question bookmarks, created dilemma questions, and game statistics. Voting statistics are aggregated anonymously across all players to display percentage results.
  • Device & Diagnostics Data: Anonymous device identifiers, OS version, language preference, and crash/diagnostic logs used strictly for app stability, performance optimization, and bug resolution.
  • Subscription Entitlements: Purchase tokens, ad-free status, and premium pack unlock entitlements verified securely via Apple's StoreKit 2 APIs. We do not receive or store your payment card or financial billing details.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Core Gameplay: To display questions, calculate and show aggregate community vote percentages, and facilitate single-player and party game modes;
  • User-Generated Content (UGC): To review, moderate, and publish community-submitted dilemma questions in compliance with safety guidelines;
  • Account Synchronization: To synchronize your custom questions and bookmarked dilemmas across your authorized devices;
  • Subscription Verification: To authenticate your active subscription status or restore previously purchased premium packs;

  • Safety & Moderation: To detect, filter, and prevent offensive language, harassment, or inappropriate content submissions.

4. Data Sharing & Infrastructure Providers

  • Apple Inc.: For user authentication (Sign in with Apple) and StoreKit subscription/purchase processing.
  • Cloud Hosting & Databases: For secure database storage, remote game configuration, dynamic question delivery, and crash analytics.

5. Account Deletion & Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as your account remains active. You have the right to request deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time:

  • In-App Deletion: Open Would You Rather, navigate to Settings > Delete Account, and confirm deletion. Your account, submitted questions, vote history, and bookmarks are immediately and permanently erased from our systems.
  • By Email Request: You can also email us at official@wouldyourather.one with your account identifier to request data deletion.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. All communication between the App and our backend servers is encrypted using modern SSL/TLS protocols.

Would You Rather is suitable for general audiences but children under 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions) should use the App only with parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13.
